I always assumed Biden would pardon his son, especially if he didn't win re-election. The "promise" to not pardon Hunter meant to not do so until the 2nd term. Or if another Dem to replace Biden would promise to pardon Hunter on day 1, then Biden could have perhaps kept that promise as well. But with Trump going back in, of course Biden pardons Hunter. But its a good thing because it shows that the President DOES have the power to pardon ALL crimes, not just those that have already been found out or charged. Biden pardoned Hunter for all crimes between 2014 and 2024, known and unknown. GREAT! Now that proves Trump can do the same: pardon his people for all crimes real and imaginary, known and unknown, from 1900 to whenever he declares the pardon. Trump should do it on day 1, and then do it again quarterly each year he's in office, and then again before passing the reigns of power to JD Vance.
