Manufacturing Misinformation: Schrodinger's Other Cat

It should be apparent to everybody by now, that the definitive method of Marxism is manufacturing problems to justify preexisting solutions. Which is why they manufactured the recent “Springfield Haitian cat-eating” scandal. Turns out, the Left still can’t meme but they can trick us into doing it for them.

Let’s start by recalling that the Regime wants people to think that the November election will be full of misinformation.

Disinformation poses an unprecedented threat to democracy in the United States in 2024, according to researchers, technologists and political scientists.

As the presidential election approaches, experts warn that a convergence of events at home and abroad, on traditional and social media — and amid an environment of rising authoritarianism, deep distrust, and political and social unrest — makes the dangers from propaganda, falsehoods and conspiracy theories more dire than ever.

The U.S. presidential election comes during a historic year, with billions of people voting in other elections in more than 50 countries, including in Europe, India, Mexico and South Africa. And it comes at a time of ideal circumstances for disinformation and the people who spread it.

An increasing number of voters have proven susceptible to disinformation from former President Donald Trump and his allies; artificial intelligence technology is ubiquitous; social media companies have slashed efforts to rein in misinformation on their platforms; and attacks on the work and reputation of academics tracking disinformation have chilled research.

I wonder about that third paragraph suggesting that national elections have been timed across the length of GAE to coincide with this year’s election fraud. I’ve seen it claimed elsewhere and looked into it, but found nothing substantive about election synchronization.

Anyway, the Regime wants to silence alternative voices, but they cannot be honest about their reasons for silencing them. So, they must invent a pretext by which they MUST silence their enemies, reluctantly but for the good of all humanity, don’cha know:

Solutions for the enormity of that threat are piecemeal and distant: the revival of local news…

Fat chance they’ll ever allow that.

…the creation of information literacy programs…

Cradle-to-grave indoctrination, already in progress.

…and the passage of meaningful legislation around social media, among others.

Boom, there it is. But problem, the only people spreading harmful lies in media (thus far) are the media itself. What can a Marxist do to change that?

“Right-wing media see a demand for content that is pro-Trump and leaning into conspiracy theories,” said A.J. Bauer, an assistant journalism professor at the University of Alabama who studies conservative media.

Wouldn’t it be horrible if somebody “accidentally” met that demand?

Haitian immigrants in Springfield: What our reporting has found

Immigrants from Haiti have poured into Springfield the last five years, and the estimates grow monthly, with city officials now saying the number could be 15,000 to 20,000 new residents among a population that had numbered just under 60,000 prior.

The number of immigrants has strained city government, health care, schools, social services and nonprofits trying to provide assistance.

Springfield, like most places in USA, has been intentionally destabilized by FedGov in preparation for genocide and martial law. This article even admits as much:

Gary Armstrong, a frequent commission critic, aid two commissioners have Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs) and alleged that a former city commissioner was part of “the plot, the scheme, the agenda that brought the immigration here … they’re working against us as citizens. They’re killing this city while several of you,” he said addressing the commissioners, “are making money out of these LLCs and renting to the Haitians.”

Such rumors about city officials being directly involved in the immigration of Haitians and reaping money from them while failing to address problems that have surfaced over the past two years, have circulated widely on social media.

Every member of the commission used part of their time during a recent meeting to rebut allegations they are profiting from the influx of immigrants.

Mayor Rob Rue was the first to address the issue.

“I want to talk about the accusation about me having a partnership with someone who owns several rentals and I’m benefiting from immigrants in our community in owning rentals. I do not,” Rue said.

Rue stressed that he has not earned money from the influx of immigrants to the city.

That’s what the mayor said… but here’s what he did:

9. City leaders seek federal funds

Mayor Rob Rue reported he has met with Congressman Mike Turner on a number of occasions. Turner recently visited the community and held a press conference at the Rocking Horse Community Health Center where he committed to seeking federal funding to ease pressure on needs for public health, schools, safety and language resources.

“I’m not collecting Federally-subsidized rents on Haitians! I’m collecting Federal subsidies for city services for Haitians!”

Meanwhile,

The Springfield Police Division said Monday morning they have received no reports related to pets being stolen and eaten.

A social media post originally from a Springfield Facebook group went viral nationally in recent days. The original poster did not cite first-hand knowledge of an incident. Instead they claimed that their neighbor’s daughter’s friend had lost her cat and found it hanging from a branch at a Haitian neighbor’s home being carved up to be eaten.

Springfield Police said they were aware of the social media post but that this was “not something that’s on our radar right now.”

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The woman behind an early Facebook post spreading a harmful and baseless claim about Haitian immigrants eating local pets that helped thrust a small Ohio city into the national spotlight says she had no firsthand knowledge of any such incident and is now filled with regret and fear as a result of the ensuing fallout.

“It just exploded into something I didn’t mean to happen,” Erika Lee, a Springfield resident, told NBC News on Friday.

Lee recently posted on Facebook about a neighbor’s cat that went missing, adding that the neighbor told Lee she thought the cat was the victim of an attack by her Haitian neighbors.

Recently posted… two months ago?

I haven’t seen that original post and doubt it still exists to be seen. The previous article was dated 12 July, however, and it sounds like the same post as this September one.

Newsguard, a media watchdog that monitors for misinformation online, found that Lee had been among the first people to publish a post to social media about the rumor, screenshots of which circulated online. The neighbor, Kimberly Newton, said she heard about the attack from a third party, NewsGuard reported.

The neighbor’s daughter’s friend, yes?

Newton told Newsguard that Lee’s Facebook post misstated her story, and that the owner of the missing cat was “an acquaintance of a friend” rather than her daughter’s friend. Newton could not be reached for comment.

I now feel confident we’re talking about the same post, which means the Marxist fact-checkers sat on this story for two months before whipping it into a national headline just in time for the presidential election debate.

Memory Hole can’t stop the God of Truth. Everything, EVERYTHING will be made known to all by the time of Judgment Day. And probably sooner.

Lee said she had no idea the post would become part of a rumor mill that would spiral into the national consciousness. She has since deleted the Facebook post.

Other posts have also contributed to the false allegations, including a photo of a man holding a dead goose that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, but was spread by some online as evidence of the claims about Springfield. Graphic video of a woman who allegedly killed and tried to eat a cat was also found not to have originated in Springfield but in Canton, Ohio, and does not have any connection to the Haitian community.

Local police and city officials have repeatedly said there is no evidence of such crimes in Springfield, but that hasn’t stopped the lies from spreading across the country and igniting a national frenzy that landed on the presidential debate stage this week. Former President Donald Trump and his running mate Ohio Sen. JD Vance, who was born less than an hour away from Springfield, have repeated the baseless allegations.

QED on the timing’s motive. The Regime knows that people are upset over immivasion, so they manufactured a false narrative in order to claim disinfo, and they timed it to be part of the Presidential Selection in order to claim that misinfo was interfering with Our Dumbocracy.

Wait, what? Springfield was J.D. Vance’s hometown? No wonder he picked up this bait!

Former President Donald Trump is planning to visit Springfield, Ohio, "soon," a source familiar with the planning told NBC News.

The town has become the epicenter of a national political fight on immigration, with Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, spreading baseless conspiracy theories that Haitian immigrants in Springfield are eating dogs and other pets.

Though the unfounded claims have circulated online in right-wing circles for weeks, the rumors went mainstream last week when Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris met for a debate in Philadelphia.

Trump wouldn’t be a good puppet if he wasn’t so easily led about.

Lee said she never imagined her post would become fodder for conspiracy theories and hate.

“I’m not a racist,” she said through heavy emotion, adding that her daughter is half Black and she herself is mixed race and a member of the LGBTQ community. “Everybody seems to be turning it into that, and that was not my intent.”

That last paragraph led me to suspect that Lee was an agent provocateur, but after assembling the entire picture, she wasn’t.

Check out this Regime timeline. One would think that information-organizing methods such as recaps, summaries and timelines would be standard journalistic behavior.

Former President Donald Trump has continued to peddle unsubstantiated claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, despite the city saying they have no credible reports.

Here is a timeline of how this narrative developed.

Let me guess… Trump Trump Russia Trump Trump Russia China Trump “Elon Musk, give me back my Twitter Legions!”…

– Sept. 5: NewsGuard, an organization whose mission is countering misinformation, traced the origin of the eating pets narrative to a viral X post on Sept. 5 that featured a screenshot of the initial rumor. NewsGuard tracked down a Springfield resident who wrote the original allegation in a Facebook group that claimed Haitians were "carving up" her neighbor's daughter's friend's cat, though the date of this post is unknown.

Always ask yourself, why is THIS story a scandal AT THIS TIME? Horror stories of immivaders can come from anywhere at this point, but this story was about notorious cat-eaters going viral at the height of Election Fever.

The Regime’s most loyal & active members, the crazy cat ladies were frightened by the apparent choice between racist and their kitties, but now the path forward is blaming BOM for racistly threatening their kitties.

There oughta be a law against that! Just like the Regime already wants.

– Sept. 6: A conservative account on X with over 2.9 million users further disseminated the screenshot of this rumor. The accompanying text read, "Under Harris and Biden, 20,000 Haitian immigrants were shipped to the town. Now ducks and pets are disappearing."

– Sept. 8: Charlie Kirk, an American conservative political talk show host and Internet personality, added onto the unsubstantiated allegations by also posting the screen grab and saying that "residents of Springfield, OH are reporting that Haitians are eating their family pets."

Newsguard popped the story, controlled opposition fanned the flames.

– Sept. 9: The rumor reached the Trump campaign after Sen. JD Vance claimed on X that "people have had their pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn't be in this country."

Vance got baited. One supposes that reports of New Yorkers eating pigeons alive wouldn’t have fazed the Don.

– Sept. 9: The city of Springfield told ABC News in a statement that "there have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community."

This is like Schrodinger’s other cat. Are there Haitians eating pets or not? I don’t know because I’m TOO informed! All I’m hearing from fact-checkers is, certain police agencies are not reporting confirmed examples of specifically pet-cat consumption in specific districts, within a certain reporting window of time.

In other words, the cat is both alive and not alive depending upon one’s perspective… of which option is more politically useful.

And what about the local wildlife? Not that I care about geese, but only discussing credible reports about pet mutilation is ducking (cough) a lot of chatter.

– Sept. 9: The unsubstantiated claims continued to spread among X, with the help of Elon Musk who posted an AI-generated cat and a duck with the caption, "save them!" His post currently has 93.2 million views.

– Sept. 10: Vance acknowledged on social media, "It's possible, of course, that all of these rumors will turn out to be false." However, he urged people to "keep the cat memes flowing," and he went on to write about a child that was killed in Springfield after a migrant under Temporary Protected Status (TPS) crashed into a school bus last year.

A Haitian migrant, charged afterwards with involuntary manslaughter and other charges relating to a lot of injured children.

– Sept. 10: The parents of the deceased child…

…asked Trump and Vance to stop using their son "as a political tool," and also touched on their "untrue claims about fluffy pets being ravaged and eaten by community members."

Marxism does horrible things to the human soul. The perpetrators of this manufactured misinfo had much political cunning and zero self-awareness.

- Sept. 10: The Arizona Republican Party established "EAT LESS KITTENS — vote Republican!" billboards in Phoenix, Arizona, with a Facebook post that promised Trump would secure borders.

I’m honestly surprised they haven’t worked Iran into this Narrative. Yet.

– Sept. 10: While traveling to the ABC News presidential debate, Trump…

– Sept. 10: Vice President Kamala Harris responded to these comments during the debate. "Talk about extreme," she said before adding that such rhetoric is part of the reason why she has been endorsed by 200 Republicans who worked for previous Republican administrations, and that Trump does not address real issues.

How did she know it wasn’t true three days before the news article of the original poster admitting fake news? Or, did she believe it was true and Trump should have covered up the criminal animal cruelties of her supporters?

– Sept. 10: After the debate, Trump…

– Sept. 11: Trump doubled down…

– Sept. 11: A local resident in Springfield visited the city commission to express concerns about Haitian migrants. He told ABC News that he misses the "old days" and discussed unsubstantiated information he got from a Republican state Senate candidate, demonstrating how anti-immigration sentiment has become deep-seated in local elections as well.

Again, zero self-awareness. Most of humanity not on the dole, agrees with this masked man.

– Sept. 11: Springfield City Manager Bryan Heck acknowledged some strains on… the community due to the rapid growth in population, but stressed that it was not from the "rumored being reported." He called the continued narrative from Trump and his allies "disappointing"…

– Sept. 12: The City of Springfield received a bomb threat that prompted an "immediate response from local and regional law enforcement" -- though there's no indication of whether it had anything to do with the recent narrative that's been floating about the city.

Then why mention it? Because GUN GUN GUN HELP ME HE’S GOT A GUN are just a few capitalized words and nothing you should emotionally react to.

– Sept. 12: Social media activist Laura Loomer made more baseless claims about Springfield.

Loomer? But what about…

Loomer has received media attention in recent days traveling with Trump and delivering extreme rhetoric on X.

…Trump. Ahh, there he is! Never mind. And Elon Musk, too.

– Sept. 12: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who is the daughter of Haitian immigrants, condemned this rhetoric and called it a "very bizarre and very hateful smear" that has already been "debunked."

– Sept. 12: During a rally in Tucson, Arizona, Trump…

A 2020 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed U.S.-born citizens “are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes” than undocumented immigrants.

After which, the Haitians came to Springfield. “Over the last five years,” as said above.

Keeping one eye on the calendar of political events can do much to keep you from incitement to generally true but specifically false reports of Marxist misconduct.
