A lifelong Internet frustration of mine, has been the tendency of people in general and the Republican Party in particular, to look at San Francisco’s deviancies and write off the entirety of California as a political lost cause.
California is HUGE. You wouldn’t torch your house because the dishes in the sink are dirty. You wouldn’t let the doctor amputate your arm at the shoulder because a finger needs stitches. But people look at a few headlines and make sweeping generalizations off them?
Norcal is not Socal is not coastal is not Central Valley is not the Sierra Nevadas is not the Mojave is not Lake Shasta, all of those being regions not just geographic features. But no, if San Francisco is a mess then the call goes out to abandon the state to the Marxist wolves. That bad California dirt turned their frogs gay, lads! Fall back! We’ll stop them at the border, except we won’t because Muh Constitution.
That attitude was amplified throughout mainstream and dissident media so hard, I cannot believe it wasn’t a plot to consolidate Marxist control of California. It certainly was the excuse California Republican officials used to sit down, shit the bed and die in their Commie-loving cack.
How did I ever become so cynical.
Probably the same way that “kids these days” became so cynical.
Take the Small Town Pill?

By Brian Niemeyer, 9 July 2024
I have no complaint against Mr. Niemeyer. I’m just riffing off his post, being unable to comment on his site for vague technical reasons. Maybe his server doesn’t like my VPN. No matter, I have enough to say to fill a post.
A recent trend online involves social media accounts giving aimless, despairing men advice on how to find the American Dream.
What’s noteworthy about this new brand of advice is that it urges Millennial and Gen Z males to leave the cities and venture into the heartland in search of the now-elusive middle class living and sane, attractive mate. In short, men are now advised to take the small town pill.
There’s nothing recent about the trend of telling men that if they have social problems, then they need to make themselves go away. Cities have bad magic dirt, you see. Small towns have good magic dirt. Men should leave the cities to the wolves and move to a small town because, as has been proven throughout history, Evil can’t touch any group of humans until they reach a certain size & density. Because reasons.
Do you see the word spell yet?
Besides, the appeasement approach worked for California, right? Los Angeles was a cesspit, so we abandoned the entire state with its 50M people to the Marxists, and they’ve been safely contained ever since. Not.
Perhaps even more extraordinary, this seemingly benign advice has been met with massive backlash from the young men it was meant to help.
Naturally! Such advice is meant to blame them, not help them. Question: which small town, exactly, at what coordinates, is hoping lots of not-wealthy young white men will arrive soon? Who are these virgins hoping to marry young and have some engineering nerd’s babies? Which profitable hardware store is being run by an elderly orphan who wants to retire but can’t, because there are no young men in his small town who want a comfortable future?
There was one time I saw such a business be advertised. This crazy guy in, I think it was Montana, built himself a truck-sized gopher vacuum and made a cottage industry of nonchemical rodent disposal. He made his piece, wanted to retire, so he put the Gopher Sucker up for sale on Craigslist along with the business license and a promise to teach the new guy all he knew about sucking gophers out of the ground.
He got HUNDREDS of serious responses.
The problem is not young men refusing to improve themselves. The problem is old mens’ utter refusal to make way for the next… three generations at this point? To say nothing of our foreign-loyal government.
If you offer a better life to young men then they’ll take it, of course, and even established men might fantasize about living where they aren’t hated, but nobody wants to end up as yet another rootless cosmopolitan changing passports with every shift in the political wind, like a retired Baby Boomer with a fat pension who wonders why he doesn’t just stay on the cruise ship.
Or, like a man who already tried moving to Texas, thinking it would be a safe harbor… or Florida, or Colorado, or Arizona, or…
And some people don’t even want to run. Some want to fight. Wouldn’t it be nice if that Army Of One had two people in it?
Maybe telling young men to take a four to eight week leave of absence and wander the land like Kane from Kung Fu is open to reasonable criticism. But what of the larger point? Is hope to be found outisde America’s urban hives?
Has the time come for Millennials and Zoomers to take the small town pill?
I dunno, are the homosexuals only trying to reclaim their ancestral homelands? If we draw just one more line in the sand and warn Satan not to cross it, will he give up and go home? Will International Marxism disband once its current objectives are achieved, like the March of Dimes didn’t after polio went away?
You can admit you have no solutions to offer. I don’t either.
You can offer specific opportunities to specific persons. He would surely be grateful.
But please, don’t offer “there’s a magical place where nobody has your problems, and I won’t say where, and it’s your fault you don’t live there.” That attitude in better times, would be escorted to the toilet for a swirly.
This topic hit home for me because just last week, I went on a trip to a small town in the heart of Flyover Country. The week I spent there gave me quite a culture shock.
Here are the general takeaways from my small town experience:
People were friendlier in general
service at almost every business was far better
ditto the food at pretty much every restaurant, including big chains
there was much less diversity
And, oh yeah, all the methheads.
Can’t forget the methheads.
That’s consistent with my own experiences. I know one small town in my region that went full Covidian, while another declared all businesses to be ‘essential’. What’s coming is not going to be a carefully delineated political conflict. This is going to be a spiritual war, and nobody sits out one of those.
I know this one city block in downtown Big City. On one side of a tall concrete wall, are children playing in relative safety. On the other side of the wall, is one of the city’s most notorious & persistent drug bazaars.
They’re separated by only eight inches of concrete.
And the concrete has drain holes.
And yet, it’s enough to permit the existence of two incompatible social groups.
You don’t need to move to small-town America to escape the insanity. You need the right to free association. If we had that, we wouldn’t need to constantly uproot ourselves. Until we have that, any such uprooting will be a temporary measure at best.
That is why I believe “Just move out of California/out of the city/out of the West/off the planet” is a psyop. The previous way to join a new & better social group, was simply to create it. Which is not allowed anymore. Any organization you create, must allow the spiteful mutants to enter, and if the Regime doesn’t enforce it then somebody’s feral wife will.
And the advice being offered for an alternative, destroys what social cohesion remains. If you uproot and move across the country to a new way of life as a stranger, then you’re resetting to social zero.
There are no coincidences in Current Year. Our rulers want all social cohesion destroyed. That is how we’ll be rendered into faceless economic units living in pods.
Maybe we should just dig in, hold on to what we have… God’s advice to the church at Thyatira… and be patient for opportunity to knock. God in Heaven is very involved in what’s about to happen, and if He wanted us to do something in preparation then He’d have said so.
So if you want the next best thing to a time machine, hop in the car and melt into rural America for a while.
But even when you take the small town pill, it’s hard not to catch glimpses of the incoming shockwave on the horizon.
What about monasteries, would they leave new monasteries alone? Or new branches of old monasteries. Once large enough they might effectively assimilate unfiltered entrants. 100th monkey effect >> magic dirt
