There’s a typical renewal of the sociosexual hierarchy & Red Pill concepts going around the bloggers I follow. It started with Adam & Filotto debating in the context of Catholic vocations, so far as I could tell, which meant my pithy Protestant answer wasn’t invited. That’s fine; I fisked Adolf Hitler in his bunker instead; but it expanded from there into criticism of SSH and the importance of women in young mens’ lives.
Man I love this article so much. The real origin of freedom in the west was basically that you don’t know how God intends to use somebody, so you have to provide for a wide range of freedom of action with sensible limitations for the obvious stuff like murder, theft, etc. I’m glad you addressed that as opposed to following the same love of coercion that characterizes the left and on the Christian side the “integrist”.
“Sexual” insecurity is a similar problem to “food insecurity”. It entails men dumping more and more resources into attracting women versus dumping those resources into the relationship itself and its consequences, children, the family. That’s if men don’t check out entirely and don’t generate much anyway because why would they? It’s the same reason the third world is poor for reasons no one wants to talk about; you don’t build anything if it’s just going to be taken from you.
Had the thought the other day that we’ve almost shifted from the problem of “how do we get these men into reasonably sound marriages” to “how do we keep these men from killing themselves or hurting others?” Both the “right” and the left are leaning on the old standby, bullying and coercion, on men who are already up against the wall in a lot of ways. Which is exactly the origin of the Triad gangs of China.
So back to first principles, the only war that really matters is the spiritual war. Without men turning to God and His grace and mercy nothing is going to work. We assume things get bad and magically turn around while ignoring the many, many societies, that essentially get bad and stay there. This is the only way for men and women. Sorry for the long post, hope it’s not bad form.
I was just thinking of China. They have a very long history of the ruling class' greed creating too many involuntary bachelors, then eventually they reach critical mass and overthrow the ruling class. Rinse and repeat.
The reason China is sending so many of its young, unmarried men into USA during this immivasion, is probably to correct their gender ratio enough to prevent the next turn of that wheel. Bonus if they establish a Chinese beachhead in North America, but China gets the main benefit just from offloading them.
